Hey every, (who bothers to read this!!)

So why havnt I written in such a long time...well caasue ive been on holiday,,,

I went to the berg...and it was super rad just to relex and stuff!!...God worked in my life alot and I even wrote 2 songs (if you want them..email me!) and so that was cool

My uncle (RupertHill) is staying at my house for 2 months...and is the victim of many practicle jokes....we've planted hidden cameras in his room...and all sorts of stuff...so its been really cool!!

Let me tell u one thing i did to him...in the berg I had to share a room with him...so when the lights went out I hit him in the face with a piece of straw...he let out a scream and told me there was a gaint moth in the room...and he turned on the lights and tried to hunt down this moth...the same thing happened 4 bout an hour until he realized it was me (walala 4 him)!!!

At the time, a Nintendo cost around $80 and each game ran about $30. The ad that I placed, for my friend Tom, read:

Barely used Nintendo with 4 games, $45. Must sell. Call early mornings and late evenings 555-5555.

Anyone reading the ad would call right away as this posting sounded almost too good to be true (and upon calling they would find out that it was). "What? Sorry, we don't have any Nintendo for sale." Their phone started ringing off the hook. They thought, "what a terrible mistake for someone to have placed the wrong number in the ad paper." After a few days, they had to stop answering the phone and let their voice mail pick up with a message that said the Nintendo was no longer for sale.

hehe!! No, that would be horrible...so I dont recommend u do it to any1!!!

7 days on...

Hey Everyone

So why havnt a posted for one whole week?
We'll basically I decided just to fast the internet for 1 week, not that im addicted to it, or anything, but just to givbe it up...so I did...so I never posted...so this might be long...

Okay so this past week (mon to thurs) has been ridicullus, i hav never gone under so much spiritual attack before, satan was really just milking me, trying to get me to stumble before I lead worship on friday, I got physically sick, i got tempted, spiritually i battled it was overboard...but God kept me going...

Worship @ reflex on friday was amazing, the sound was perfect, and more importantly God was glorified and everthing worked PERFECTLY!!! even after a sound check with 10000000 things going wrong...our lead electric guitar player's amp effect setting stoped working...and our sound technition said it was broken...and we really needed those effects to play most of our songs...so as a group we prayed and asked God to fix the amp...and he did...and it worked perfectly...(and still is) we also introduced a new song...the freedom we know (lyrics are below - scrool down) and the guys really took hold of it...so that was cool...so ya it was rad...glory all to God

Saturday was rad...i served as a waitor...for a summer camp fundraiser...it was alot of fun...but cool

Sunday (Today)marked the end of 3 years of Kids ministry...as I taught my grade 7 boys from sunday school for tha last time...next year God has called me to step away from childrens ministry...and concentrate on worship..so im very ampted!!!

My last lesson that I gave to the Gr.7 boys was on worship...so I decided to paste it in here...so you can see waht it was...

Worship

What a rad “last topic’ for me to talk on, it’s something that I am SUPER passionate about and I couldn’t have a better topic to talk about in my last Promiseland lesson…Lets open in prayer…

Okay? Lets go through the basics
What is Worship? A definition I like is a response to the revelation of God, and his glory, whether that response be musically, physically, or the way in which we live our lives, that’s what worship really is!

Okay so there are many different ways of worshiping God…Lets take a look at some of them

Lifestyle Worship (Romans 12 v 1 to 2; Ephesians 4 v 1; 1 Peter 2 v 11)
Yes we all know that worship is a lifestyle, in fact, im sure that you probably have heard it several times, but what does that REALLY mean, what is it to worship God through our lives? Read Colossians 3 v 17, that’s what lifestyle worship is, giving glory to God in everything we do, praising his name through the way we live our lives, picking up our cross, and sacrificing (Mark 8 v 38) Making God stoked through the way we live!

Musical Worship (Psalm 150; Psalm 33 v 3; Psalm 47 v 1; Psalm 87 v 7)
Musical Worship, so many ways of worshipping God, musical worship is just one of them, but why music? Well music is an international language, and it brings amazing unity…But lets look at musical worship more closely

The Words

The words of the songs you sing are VERY important, DON’T sing them if you cant live it out, you need to worship God in Spirit and Truth (John 4 v 24) God desires truthful worshippers (John 4 v 23)

The Music
Its not about the music, whether it be a hymn or a Hillsong United, it doesn’t matter, yes I do prefer loud praise music, but it’s thje WORDS we need to look at, don’t judge a song by music, take a closer look at the WORDS!

Your Worship
People worship God in different ways, some guys like to just sit in silence, some like to jump around and dance, it all depends…but whatever…worship God uninhibited by what others think, become UNDIGNIFIED (2 Samuel 6 v 21 to 22) far to often we are held back but what others think, yes don’t be disrespectful to others but worship in spirit and truth

Other Types of Worship (Colossians 3 v 17)
There are many different OTHER ways to worship God, be creative, here are some practical ways
Drawing
Use your art or graphic design to worship and praise God, just draw something FOR him, and to WORSHIP him
Letters, Poems etc
Use letters and poems etc, to worship God
Songwriting
Write songs or compose songs that glorify God
Walking…
Go for a walk or hike, and worship God for his creation etc

Okay just 4 idea’a and im sure there are MANY more, worship God in everything


So that’s it, my last message to you guys, don’t forget, apply to your lives (James 1 v 22 to 25)…worship is a super important thing…lets make it a priority in our lives

Cellphones

Hey There…

So how dya like the blog’s new look??? Lemme know…(by commenting on the blog)

There also is not too much traffic on this blog…so spread word about it….anyway

So my mom went to this talk the other day on cellphone’s…did you know cellphones cause cancer and infertility in men…so when your cellphone is on you, it should be off..also sleeping next to an “ON” cellphone is shocking for you, basically what happens is EMF radiation cooks your brain…promoting rapid cell division...cause cancer and tumours…it also cause men to become sterile…scary stuff!!

Ballons of Water

I love waterballons…

Reflex tonight was rad…basically we went and ambushed (Surprise attacked) Kloof Baptist, and we absolutely milked them…it was lots of fun…but a bit 2 short, I got hit like 4 times, but I nailed lots of other guys…so it was fun!

They had battle of the bands…and worship…and a message,..also rad…and then we went back to WBC and milked other people…lots of fun…

Anyway…hav a rad weekend…

Hav a good week

It was rad...

So Hey There...

So I promised i would let you know how worship at presby youth went...

So I got to Westville Baptist loaded our car (a huge bus...called a vito) with equiment...the whole car was full of speakers, guitars, keyboard, sound mixers, cables, stand...and we head to the venue...

It was pretty small, we set up under an awning type thing...we set up a whole sound system, mixed and equilised in like 20 minutes...it was the fasted ive ever done it in...we had bongo's keys, electric and accoustic...we shined the OHP on a the top of a broken trailer we turned vertically...it was pretty funny... we never had much space...and equipment was just lying everywhere...we were also stressing that neighbours wouldcomplain..cause like it was in a residentail are...and it was supa loud...but it never..we also prayed against rad..and God nonored our request...

Anyway...we had 5 songs and were meant to play for 20 to 30 minutes...but they were supa amped...so we ened up playing for like 1 hour 15 minues...so we ran out of songs in the 1st 20minutes..so we just player impromtu sytle...they loved it...especially the one song called "The Freedom we Know",

We then packed up reallty fast...in like 30minutes...packed the car...it was so overboard fill...and missioned everything back to church...

So ya it was really rad...just 30 o's praising God...and going crazy...they came with great expectations...and I think they learnt alot...

So now we plan for reflex worship...im ampted...

what next for United

What about the new Hillsong United album, im ampted for it...here is some more info...

From the UNITED blog....:

"...Sooooooo.. we have decided to record our very first STUDIO ALBUM !!!!!! we will be releasing a DVD with it as well, which will have live components to it and a whole load of things we've never attempted before... we are really excited as a youth ministry to try something new, and that's why we have decided to make this studio album......"

There you have the next UNITED album wont be live...which i prefer..but recored in a studio...oh well...we'll see how it sounds...it should be interesting???....

Its been a while..

So I havent posted in a while...okay only a week...but il try to post more often...

SO guess what!!! Exams are officaially OVER for me, on tuesday i wrote a 3 hour prac and 2day a 2.5 theory paper..and thats it...im finished!! Stoked!!

Only 2 people (i think) have visited this blog...thanks to those to...but keep checking in regulary..il try and post as often as I can...but in the meantime..spread word about this blog thing...tell the world...it would be rad if more than 2 people checked it ou?

So tomoroow im leading worship at presby youth..they asked me to do it along time ago..so im taking down 3 guys...and a sound sytem to go and lead them...it should be rad...their youth isint big...like 20 to 30 guys and girls....it should be rad tho...I will let U know how it goes...

So I got a complaint that i should use spell checker..I will...but it is a mission of my life...but i guess its better...

So whats been happening in my life?...today i met with SCA chairman about SCA next year..its gonna be rad..and I want to c the school changed for good...so im ampted!!!

what just happened?

Hey, so im sitting here, its like 11h14, thinking bout worship, not to be boastful, or anything like that, but ya i just led worship@reflex, and it was rad, okay we did go out of time a couple times and stuff and the mix wasnt right, and that normally doesnt happened.

So what happened to the sound, why did he get thrown out of time once or twice, i honestly bieleave (is that how u spell it?) that God was reminding us who was in charge, that we worship him, and play for him by the ability he has given us, as soon as we realy on our own ability, we have a problem!! It's like that song says "so we look to you, so we look to you, cause no one else will do, no one elese will do!" Just a remeinder that we need to constantly we relying on God, not on ourselves!

Ready?

So hey everybody....

So I have been think about setting up a blog thing for age's, just never got 'round to it....

So Stoked...finally did it...hope somebody reads all this... but ya...im ampted..

SO Im sitting here, thinking, hey, what can I write about? one thing that has challenged me in the most overboard way was atook i heard on the holy spirit, last week, (by Snoek @WBC) wow it jus blew me outta the water!! He spoke on the Holy Spirit, and all about being filled with the holy spirit, but the thing that really blew me away was when he spoke about how when we yield ourself to God, God give's us such power and anointing to complete the task to which he has called us to.

You see...I get so fustrated with our generation...we get all ampted@ church and youthfor justice and praise, but dont get out there and live a raw passionate, spirit filled life for God.....we are too scared, and self seeking...but i think that is changing...I think God is raising up a new generation, here in SA, a generation that will stand for truth, and for him, be getting ampted, cause i amped and ready...God is moving...........
